Niedriger Finnischer Couchtisch von Ilmari Tapiovaara für Laukaan Puu
Ilmari Tapiovaara is considered a master of characteristic wood related interiors, who captured the essence of Finnish identity and created a range of iconic furniture during the 1940s and 1950s. In 1955, this characteristic two-tone timber coffee table was designed. It comprises an angular shaped wooden structure, with a top formed from three pieces of solid dark-stained pine with a typical split top. The appearance of this type of Scandinavian furniture references strongly to traditional country furniture.
